Warm and quiet weekend ahead; some changes coming next week

Welcome to the weekend, Acadiana!

A quiet, but warm pattern will continue into the weekend across Acadiana.

After some patchy fog early on Friday morning, expect sunny skies through the rest of the morning as temperatures climb into the mid 70s by lunchtime.

Fair to partly cloudy skies are anticipated for Friday afternoon as highs top out near 80 degrees. That will put us close to 10 degrees above where we should be for this time of year!

Those warmer temperatures will continue into this weekend as highs settle into the upper 70s both Saturday and Sunday.

Expect anywhere from fair to partly cloudy skies for both days.

A weak front will try and push through the area early on Monday, but no rainfall nor drastic temperature changes are expected, although highs will settle in closer to the lower 70s.

A second front will look to arrive for Wednesday which will give us a better chance to see scattered showers and storms, some of which could be on the stronger side.

Still way too early to dive into any severe weather specifics, but we will keep an eye on how the pattern evolves in the days ahead.

That front should help to clear things out just in time for Thanksgiving.

As of now, Thanksgiving looks to remain dry with highs topping out in the lower 70s.

In the tropics: All is quiet with no threats to Acadiana.
