Potentially a stormy afternoon and early evening are on tap for portions of Acadiana.

A higher end event/significant severe weather outbreak expected for a large part of the Deep South and primarily just north of Acadiana, however latest model data indicates the risk of a supercell storm or two locally...

Main threats for Acadiana will include damaging winds, large hail and the possibility of a tornado or two initiating in the local Acadiana area primarily between 4-8pm.

A tornado watch is in effect for Southwest Louisiana through 3 pm and will likely be extended for the rest of Acadiana later this afternoon.
