After a cold front pushes through this evening with scattered showers and storms, we will start to dry out and turn colder by Monday.
Welcome to a new week, Acadiana!
Scattered showers and storms will be likely this evening as a cold front pushes through.
Timing for the storms:
6:00-7:00 pm => Western parishes
7:00-8:00 pm => Lafayette/Central Acadiana
8:00-9:00 pm => Eastern parishes
By midnight, the bulk of the activity will have cleared the entire area and temperatures will be falling.
We will start out in the low to mid-40s Monday morning with wind chills in the 30s thanks to a breezy northerly wind.
Clouds will linger into your Monday as highs struggle to reach the lower 50s.
With a persistent northerly wind out there (North 10-15 mph), wind chills will remain in the 40s through the course of the afternoon, so you'll want to make sure to bundle up!
Winds will start to settle down going into Monday night; thus, temperatures will be able to fall back into the mid and upper 30s by Tuesday morning.
We will start to turn a bit milder throughout Tuesday afternoon as easterly flow returns ahead of our next front.
Clouds will be building in as well.
Next rain chances arrive Tuesday evening into early Wednesday morning as that front pushes through.
Rest of the week looks nice and cool with temperatures remaining below normal.
We will be talking highs mainly in the 50s with lows in the 30s and 40s.
Y'all make it a great week!
