We have made it to another weekend! I hope y'all had a great week!
Lows overnight Friday and into Saturday morning will be a tad warmer than where we were to start Friday morning. Low temperatures will sit in the low to mid 70s area wide.
Winds will start to turn more southerly through the weekend which means our humidity will be on the increase starting on Saturday. Rain chances will perk up slightly with a little more moisture in place, but still, we are only talking around 20-30% on the rain chances.
Highs will look to top out in the lower to mid 90s through the weekend with heat indices sitting closer to 100 degrees.
The first part of next week remains pretty August-like as highs settle into the lower and mid 90s with storm activity primarily driven by the heating of the day in our afternoons.
Rain chances come up a bit for the mid and latter parts of next week as slightly higher moisture moves into the area. We'll likely see a better scattering of those showers and storms especially in the afternoon. Y'all have a great weekend!
In the tropics: All remains fairly quiet outside of a tropical wave in the Atlantic that the NHC is giving about a 10% chance to develop in the next 5 days. It'll run into some unfavorable wind shear in the days ahead which should help to weaken the system and cause it to not be much of a threat.
