Welcome to the final week of January!

A DENSE FOG advisory is in effect for Iberia, Vermilion, St. Mary and Lower St. Martin parishes until 6 am on Monday morning.

Visibility may be reduced to less than a quarter of a mile in spots, so make sure to allow yourself some extra time on the roadways.

Patchy fog will be possible for the rest of Acadiana mainly late this evening and into the wee hours of Monday morning.

Breezy southerly winds by daybreak tomorrow should help to limit widespread dense fog across the area going into commute time.

Mild start with temperatures in the mid-60s.

With southerly winds continuing to increase ahead of our next frontal boundary, expect temperatures to push into the lower to mid-70s on Monday afternoon under mostly cloudy skies.

That front will deliver on some scattered showers and perhaps an isolated thunderstorm or two throughout Monday afternoon/evening.

No severe weather/significant rainfall totals with the system pushing through tomorrow.

The front will stall along the coast going into Tuesday, so there won't really be a real cool down behind it.

In fact, temperatures will still climb into the upper 60s to lower 70s on Tuesday afternoon.

With the front lurking around, we may also see a few spotty showers throughout Tuesday.

Better rain chances arrive overnight Tuesday and into Wednesday morning as our next surface feature and associated cold front approach the region.

Mainly just scattered showers once again with rain chances gradually diminishing throughout the day on Wednesday.

It is this front that will FINALLY clear things out heading into late week.

Expect cooler and nicer weather for Thursday and Friday!

Another round of showers could arrive for the latter half of next weekend.

Still some time to watch...

Have a great week, y'all!
