After another chilly start Wednesday, plenty of sunshine and milder temperatures are forecast for Acadiana until the next front arrives Thursday night.

An upper level disturbance overnight will bring some mid- and high level clouds to Acadiana along with perhaps a few spotty sprinkles (and perhaps an ice pellet) primarily prior to midnight.

And while the clouds will keep most areas from getting too cold, expect readings by Wednesday morning in the low-mid 30s with a fairly good chance of frost possible in spots by daybreak...so keep the plant covered.

Sunshine and a light westerly breeze Wednesday will allow temperatures to warm into the mid-upper 50s for the afternoon.

Mostly sunny skies are expected Thursday ahead of our next front that arrives Thursday night. Highs Thursday will top out in the mild mid-upper 60s.

This front should have little moisture to work with but there could be a few widely scattered showers Thursday evening.

Sunny, breezy and cooler conditions will return to Acadiana Friday with high temperatures suppressed back into the 50s.

The weekend looks rather favorable but cool with sunny skies Saturday followed by partly cloudy conditions Sunday.

Highs this weekend will be in the 50s while lows continue in the low-mid 30s...numbers some 5-10° below normal.

Our next good chance of rain will come Tuesday and/or Wednesday next week...consult the KATC 10 Day Forecast for the latest.
