Nice weather expected across Acadiana today as a weak cold front has pushed through the area.

This will pave the way for mostly sunny skies and lower humidity this afternoon as high temperatures top out in the low to mid 80s.

Plenty of sunshine can be expected for Wednesday as highs settle in the lower 80s with lower humidity remaining place.

A more seasonable cold front is on the way for late Thursday into early Friday morning.

No significant rain chances are anticipated with this front, but lingering moisture and low-level clouds will stick around for Friday.

High temperatures will struggle to reach the lower 70s on Friday, and that will really set the stage for fantastic weather this upcoming weekend.

Expect high temperatures in the 70s through the weekend as overnight lows drop back into the 50s, although Saturday morning we will be flirting with the upper 40s for some areas.

In the tropics: We are tracking one small area of interest out in the Atlantic that has a low, 30% chance to develop in the next 5 days.

High wind shear will eventually tear the system apart as it remains no threat to Acadiana.
