Another mild night ahead for Acadiana as low temperatures only drop into the lower and mid-60s under partly cloudy skies.

Some areas of patchy fog will be possible early on Sunday morning.

Partly sunny skies can be expected for Sunday as high temperatures climb into the lower 80s.

A brief afternoon shower or storm will be possible as lingering moisture and some remnant upper-level energy remain in place. Rain chances will be at 20%.

A pretty quiet weather pattern will then look to take shape for next week with high temperatures continuing to run above normal.

Rain chances will also stay fairly minimal through the course of next week.

Our next front would not arrive until sometime next weekend...

Until then, we are stuck with the spring-like weather. Have a good one!

In the tropics: Tropical Storm Eta now has winds up to 60 mph as it nears the Cuban coastline.

It will then impact south Florida through the early parts of next week where it is then forecasted to meander around the eastern Gulf for a couple of days.

It is expected to weaken with time as environmental conditions become unfavorable in the northern Gulf of Mexico.

Eta is still expected to remain well east of Acadiana, so no impacts are expected here locally.

Of course, any system entering the Gulf will be worth watching and we will continue to do so in the days ahead.
