After a potentially frosty start, Acadiana will see a mild finish to our Sunday with temperatures climbing back to near normal for the time of year.

Temperatures Sunday morning will be generally in the low-mid 30s, perhaps a few degrees above freezing, but frost will likely be a good bet in most areas in spite of some high clouds moving in for early Sunday morning as an upper level trough sweeps through the area.

Look for plenty of sunshine into Sunday afternoon with light surface winds as high pressure builds in in from the northwest.
Temperatures will warm back to near normal...near 62-64° Sunday afternoon.

Another chilly and potentially frosty night will follow Sunday night into Monday morning as high pressure moves overhead.

Temperatures Monday morning will be in the mid-30s.
Another fine day is on tap for Monday with temperatures pushing the mid-60s under sunny skies.

A trend toward milder temperatures will continue for the rest of next week as frontal systems approach the area but fall short of passing through until roughly Friday.

A few showers will enter into the forecast by Thursday with best rain chances next week arriving Thursday night into Friday morning.
Temperatures will rise into the upper 60s to lower 70s each and every day Tuesday through Friday.
It does appear that the tail end of a cold front will pass through the area Friday into Saturday, with another potentially stronger front arriving sometime around next Sunday.
