With the ground still quite wet from this morning's showers expect patchy to dense fog to develop overnight into Monday morning creating reduced visibility.

The fog will gradually mix out however clouds will linger for most of the day with highs in the lower 70s.

During the afternoon a few isolated showers are possible as a weak warm front lifts out of the Gulf and over the region.

Tuesday will also be on the warm with highs in the mid 70s with lots of clouds.

A cold front will then dive south into Acadiana Tuesday afternoon/evening sparking off a round of scattered showers.

Even as the front pushes out into the Gulf on Wednesday rounds of light showers will linger throughout Acadiana behind the front.

This front will also usher in cooler air as temperatures on Wednesday will hold in the 50s to lower 60s for most of the day.

An upper level low will then swing over Acadiana on Thursday producing rounds of cold showers as temperatures will only be in the upper 40s to lower 50s.

We finally clear out on Friday with mostly sunny skies but the cool air will continue with highs in the mid 50s.

We might actually get 2 nice days in a row with partly cloudy skies on Saturday with temperatures a touch warmer topping out in the lower 60s.

This is great news for the Saturday parades.

Unfortunately the clouds and rainy weather returns on Sunday with scattered showers sliding over the region as we go into the afternoon and evening.

As for Lundi Gras and Mardi Gras the forecast looks to be on the cloudy side with the chance for showers both days but neither day will be a wash out so you bring the rain gear to be safe.

The good news is temperatures look to be comfortable in the 60s to lower 70s.
