After the chance of a few showers and/or storms for Acadiana into Tuesday night, a weak cool front will insure some very nice weather days to follow...but the chance of storms will likely return to the area by late Friday.

In the near term, a few scattered showers and storms will be possible along and immediately following a weak front that will pushing through the area Tuesday evening.

Although rain chances will be no higher than 30-40%, there is a marginal risk of an isolated storm or two that could produce gusty, possibly damaging winds and perhaps some hail...if this were to occur, it would be mostly likely across Southeast Texas into Southwest Louisiana, and along the coastal parishes/marshes later in the night.

Skies will clear and temperatures will drop into the low-mid 60s by Wednesday morning.

Look for a couple of stellar days Wednesday and Thursday with wall to wall sun.

Breezy conditions and low humidity Wednesday will conspire to make our daytime highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s feel cooler...especially in the shade.

Clear skies and cooler conditions are anticipated Tuesday night with lows by Wednesday morning dropping into the mid-50s.

Sunshine and light winds with highs near 80 are anticipated for Thursday.

A quick change-around is expected for Friday with another front arriving Friday evening.

This front will be stronger and should be accompanied by more thunderstorm activity, especially from the afternoon into the evening hours.

While unclear at this time, there could be a low end severe weather threat with the storms Friday...more on that Wednesday.

Lingering clouds and a relatively blustery day is in store for the area Saturday with temperatures struggling to reach the low-mid 70s.

After some possible morning cloudiness, sunshine and milder afternoon temperatures are expected Sunday.
Look for more 50s at night this weekend through Tuesday morning...a rarity into the second week of May!

And enjoy those 50s in the 10 Day Forecast...they may be the last we see until late October!

Warmer, more humid conditions will arrive to the area along with the possibility of tropical moisture producing a few showers toward the end of next week.
