The sun, which has felt like a long-lost friend we haven't seen in a while, finally made its much-welcomed return on Wednesday.
The good news is that it will be sticking around as we finish off the week with cooler weather in place as well.
We are looking at a cold night ahead with temperatures falling back into the upper 30s to lower 40s by tomorrow morning.
Additionally, with a little bit of a northerly wind remaining in place, wind chills will likely be in the mid-30s across Acadiana by tomorrow morning.
It's back to jackets and sweaters for sure!
Mainly sunny skies are expected throughout the day on Thursday with a few fair, high-level clouds possible throughout the afternoon.
Nothing that will spoil the day!
Temperatures will be topping out in the mid to upper 50s.
Another cold night will be in store heading into Friday morning as lows drop back into the middle and upper 30s.
Some patchy frost may be possible for areas north of the interstate.
Back to mild and cloudier weather for Saturday as temperatures push the lower 70s.
Scattered, light showers will work in during the overnight period on Saturday going into early Sunday morning.
If we are lucky, we may see some sun return by Sunday afternoon as highs settle back into the upper 60s.
Cool and nice start to next week as up and down weather persists through the majority of next week.
Pretty typical Louisiana weather if you ask me!
