After a beautiful afternoon get ready for a cool evening as temperatures will tumble once the sun goes down dropping into the mid 50s by 10 pm.

Temperatures will continue to fall overnight bottoming out in the mid to upper 40s by Wednesday morning.

Thankfully with a full day of sunshine temperatures will rebound quickly warming into the low to mid 70s during the afternoon.

A few high clouds will slide off the Gulf and over Acadiana Wednesday night preventing lows from getting as cold but it will still be chilly in the lower 50s.

Even with a fair amount of high clouds highs on Thursday we should climb back into the mid 70s for highs.

Our next system looks to arrive late Thursday night into Friday morning.

This looks to be a slow moving system with rounds of showers and storms throughout much of the day on Friday producing rainfall totals between 1-3 inches, maybe leading to some minor flooding in the typical spots and low lying areas.

A few light showers could linger into Saturday morning before the cold front finally moves off to the east setting up a really nice weekend with mostly sunny skies.

And with this system coming out of Texas temperatures will remain mild for the weekend with highs in the mid 70s and lows in the mid 50s.

Moving into next week we could warm up a little bit with highs pushing the upper 70s to near 80 on Monday and Tuesday.

Our next strong cold front arrives the following Wednesday bringing scattered showers and a few storms and maybe our coldest air of the season with highs staying in the 60s to end out next week.

Thus, the early forecast for Halloween night looks cool with temperatures in the 50s but we should be dry.
