Another typical summer-like day for Saturday... Rain chances on the increase by late weekend

Another nice and warm day Saturday before the arrival of Tropical Storm Cristobal.

Happy Friday, y'all! Temperatures topping out in the lower 90s this afternoon under partly cloudy skies. We'll keep a slight rain chance for the rest of this afternoon and into the early evening, but most of us will remain dry.

Lows dropping into the lower and mid 70s Friday night into Saturday morning.

Saturday is looking pretty similar to Friday as high temperatures will top out in the lower 90s. I'll keep a slight chance for an afternoon storm in the forecast, but most of us should remain on the drier side. It will also start to become breezy by Saturday afternoon with winds picking up to around 10-15 mph with higher speeds along our coastal regions.

Rain chances/wind start to significantly increase Sunday, especially later in the day on Sunday, as Tropical Storm Cristobal make its approach to Louisiana. Conditions are expected to deteriorate as we head through Sunday night into Monday morning as this will be when the storm is closest to our area.

The forecast track calls for the center of circulation to past just east of our area. At this point, it appears that the heaviest of rain should also remain to our east as is to be expected with a weaker system. Regardless, heavy rain bands, gusty winds are to be expected in the tropical squalls that pass through our area.

Upon the exist of Cristobal early next week, nicer conditions are expected to return to the region to round out next work week. Y'all have a great weekend and stay safe!
