A cold front will push through the area this morning, clearing the storms from the region, and eventually emptying the skies of cloud cover. Severe weather moved across parts of Acadiana during the pre dawn hours. Many locations reporting damaging winds and hail. All of this will cruise eastward today setting the stage for a very nice weekend.

High pressure will be building in, a secondary push of drier air will roll toward the area on Friday. After a few lingering storms during the morning, expect skies to gradually clear. Afternoon highs will reach the lower to middle 80s. Overnight, expect clear skies with lows around 60. Into Friday, there may be a few clouds early in the day, but skies will become mostly sunny. Afternoon highs will reach the mid 80s once again.

The cooler, drier air will slide in for Saturday and Sunday. Highs both days will be in the lower 80s with night time lows in the upper 50s. Dry weather is expected into early next week.
