Shot of cooler, drier air in for the weekend

The showers and storms have left, for now, and sunshine has returned to Acadiana.

It's not even simply sunshine that has returned to the area either but a shot of cooler, drier air has moved in as well as we start to put a bow on April and turn our attention to spring.

These shots of cooler air will start to become a little more rare as we move forward to the end of spring and the start of summer so while we are all still staying home we should try and at least go outside and enjoy it.

Friday will be the warmest day of the weekend, highs are expected to get in the mid to upper 80s but this will come after a very pleasant and cool morning with temperatures down in the upper 50s.

The winds which have been blowing around at a pretty good clip will calm down and come in from the north, bringing us the added comfort of lower dewpoints.

Highs for Saturday and Sunday both will be in the low 80s and even more comfortable, and the sunshine will stick around until the middle of next week.
