The summer pattern is in full force across Acadiana with the heat setting in early, after a fairly comfortable start to your Friday.
Finally, the low that has been plaguing us with showers and storms the last several days will push out of Acadiana giving us a slightly drier day and limiting humidity.
That being said, this is still south Louisiana, and the heat coupled with the left over moisture may spark a shower or two in the afternoon.
Temperatures will be sitting in the upper 80s with a slow steady increase in temperature through the weekend, and into next week.
Monday will be the official start of the hurricane season and while it is quiet right now I would urge you to go over your hurricane plan and be prepared for whatever this season has in store.
