Summer weather will keep with us into the weekend with humidity continuing to make it's presence felt here in Acadiana with a solid flow coming in from the Gulf of Mexico.

Winds will keep coming in from the south and locking that moisture in place which means as we start to heat up during the day some pop up showers and storms will certainly be possible.

Friday's wet weather will remain pretty isolated but as the moisture builds up they'll start to become a little more active Saturday afternoon, so any outdoor chores should be wrapped up early before the radar lights up and the heat kicks in.

Temperatures will be in the upper 80s here the next couple of days but the heat index is looking to sit pretty consistently in the mid 90s during the hottest parts of the afternoon.

A push of deep moisture will make it's way into the area during the Memorial Day holiday and showers will be picking up starting Sunday afternoon and will stay wet through the middle of next week.

It doesn't look like it'll be rain without breaks instead it'll be days of on again, off again showers and could end up averaging several inches of rain across Acadiana through next week.
