A bit of low cloudiness will hold onto Acadiana for the very early part of the day, but those clouds are expected to burn off fairly quickly. Expect another day with sunshine and mild temperatures. High pressure will continue to hold on for the next several days. Highs this afternoon should reach the low to mid 70s and winds will be considerably lighter.

Overnight, temperatures under mostly clear skies should drop into the upper 40s for most of the region. 50s will be reserved for the coastal parishes. More sunshine is expected for Wednesday, but temperatures will be a few degrees cooler with highs in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees. Another chilly one Wednesday night with lows in the upper 40s. Sunny and mild again for Thursday with highs in the upper 70s.

Into Friday, winds will be shifting back from the south. Overnight temperatures Thursday night won't be a cold. Most areas will drop into the 50s. A few more clouds are expected Friday afternoon with highs near 80 degrees. A slight chance for showers and thunderstorms will be added to the forecast for Friday afternoon. A warm front will lift over the area over the weekend allowing for higher humidity and better chances for rain.
