The weekend has finally arrived and it seems that the weather will be unsettled over the next several days.

As the dust moves to the west it’ll open the door for a handful of showers which will start to pop up Friday afternoon.

The showers won’t arrive until the afternoon so temperatures will still push into the low 90s with the heat index hitting the century mark.

A few more clouds out there to wrap up the week although sunshine will still be poking through at various times.

Be on the look out for a few embedded thunderstorms which will produce heavy showers, gusty winds, and frequent lightning.

This unsettled pattern will continue through the weekend with showers and storms popping up early on Saturday, but ending by the afternoon.

Sunday will be a little more of the same as we get a surge of moisture coming in from the Gulf of Mexico over the weekend.

The haze of the last few days won’t be as dramatic either as the dust finally moves out to the west.
