Showers and thunderstorms quickly moved through Acadiana Monday morning, setting the stage for an unsettled forecast.
The strongest thunderstorms will be pushing through during the morning, but rain will slowly start to break up and become lighter through the afternoon.
Eventually we’ll get a break in the cloud cover and patchy sunshine will start to peak through to end the first day of the week.
Temperatures will be sitting around 90 Monday afternoon but the heat index won’t be anywhere near where it was this weekend.
It’s a slower forecast through the rest of the week with rain chances returning to their typical isolated chances and temperatures warming back up.
