It’s been a very busy morning in Acadiana in regards to the weather, with severe storms, tornadoes, and flash flooding all before 8:00 a.m.
The good news now is that the weather has pushed out of the area and conditions will continue to improve through the rest of the day.
This will give the water a chance to dry out and the roads to clear up which will be good for anyone looking to commute Thursday evening.
A few pop up showers will be possible but it won’t be anything to the magnitude we had Thursday morning.
Friday’s forecast also contains widely scattered showers but again no where near the coverage or intensity of Thursday’s storms.
The extended forecast goes back to the summer standard of hot, humid, and spotty showers.
