There will be no hiding from the heat this weekend.
As high pressure starts to build back in Louisiana, the rain chances will diminish over the weekend and the heat will get turned up.
Friday will wrap up the work week on a familiar note with temperatures sitting in the 90s and the heat index close to 100 degrees.
Partly sunny skies may give way to a few isolated showers down along the coast, but that rain will be short lived and sporadic.
Weekend temperatures are set to push into the mid 90s and the heat index will get into the triple digits likely peaking around 102 degrees.
This heat lasts through the weekend and into next week, which is also looking like it’ll mostly be quiet yet again.
