A line of solid showers was cruising through Texas Thursday morning, and although the line started to fall apart at the border it will still spark a few spotty showers in parts of Acadiana.

Shower activity on Thursday will be isolated and won’t last through the day although many of the clouds will continue to hang around the area.

It’s no secret now that it’s a muggy set up with humidity the last few days swinging back to their summer levels, and Thursday will be no different.

This will mean the heat index will again be up in the low 90s with the thermometer reading the upper 80s by the afternoon.

The lows overnight will only drop to the mid 70s with clouds sticking around through the night and into Friday morning.

We’re still on tap for a rainy day on Saturday with a few embedded thunderstorms, although storms should stay below severe criteria.

While it’ll be a soggy day flooding isn’t expected to be a major issue either with rain totals hovering around 0.5 – 1″ area wide.
