Change is coming in the weather forecast

It’s been a pretty solid forecast this week across south Louisiana and while we could use some rainfall it’s hard to complain about the weather we’ve been given.

Thursday will be no exception with the sun staying out in full force with a light breeze through the afternoon.

Temperatures have slowly been warming up this week and Thursday’s high will be sitting in the upper 70s by the afternoon.

As the winds shift from the south the humidity will inch up through the night keeping lows a little warmer than what we’ve seen so far this week.

This will mark the beginning of a change in Acadiana which will eventually end with showers moving in on Sunday.

A front is expected to push through Saturday night bringing along with it showers and much cooler temperatures.

Sunday looks like it’ll be a gray and wet day and highs should sit in the upper 50s which is quite chilly for this time of year.

This makes next week look much more unsettled and as of Thursday morning there are more questions than answers in the extended forecast.
