The front has moved through Acadiana and the weather will now settle in to a gray and wet pattern for the remainder of the day.

Temperatures have dropped pretty significantly since the morning temperatures when we were sitting at a muggy mid 60s, now we’re headed straight into the 30s by Thursday morning.

It’s gray skies with no real breaks until late Wednesday evening when the clouds will finally start to ease up and clear out, leading to freezing temperatures.

The rain will continue all day and when all is said and done we could still be looking at roughly a half inch to an inch of rain in total.

While it may feel frigid outside it won’t be cold enough to convert any of the precipitation into anything other than liquid, so there won’t be any issues with frozen precipitation.

Thursday’s forecast still looks like it is on track with cold conditions early in the morning and plenty of sunshine to wrap up the work week.
