We’ve made it to a new week and the forecast looks to stay quiet the next few days, albeit a little on the chilly side.

Even though Monday got started with a layer of clouds there will progressively be more and more sunshine through the afternoon.

Despite that though the temperatures will still struggle in the afternoon, likely staying in the low 50s with wind chill in the 40s.

The breeze doesn’t seem to be letting up either and will stick around the 10 mph region through the remainder of the day.

While the skies clear Monday night it’ll open up the door for temperatures to drop into the mid 30s which will lead to patchy frost across Acadiana.

Areas that are north of the interstate may briefly see freezing temperatures so tender vegetation should be tended to but the pipes will be fine.

There’s more sunshine on tap for Tuesday but the temperatures won’t be much warmer.
