It finally stopped raining.
Let that statement sink in and savor it, after two straight days and over two inches of precipitation, we finally will see the skies clear out.
A round of multi-day sunshine is on tap for the next several days starting on Friday giving us a much needed chance to dry out.
Despite the reintroduction of sunshine it’ll still take a little time for the temperatures to warm up and Friday will end up being a pretty chilly day.
Highs will sit in the mid 50s with gusty winds through the morning which will keep things feeling very chilly through the day.
As the winds relax and the skies remain clear the temperatures will be allowed to drop with lows getting in the upper 30s, all of Acadiana should stay above freezing.
This is going to set the stage for a beautiful weekend with plenty of sunshine and slowly warming temperatures.
