A textbook example of a passing cold front for Monday’s weather with the highs in the 70s and rainy replaced by wind, cold conditions.

After a warm weekend highs will struggle to make it to the mid 50s Monday, and the wind chill will be lagging behind all day as the wind stays brisk.

Breezy weather coming in from the north around 10-15 mph, eventually easing up late in the afternoon and the evening.

As the winds relax and the skies clear Monday night temperatures will fall back into the 30s with areas along I-10 staying above freezing, and communities north of the interstate hitting freezing.

The cold isn’t expected to last too long and we should return to the 60s by the middle of the week and even the 80s by the weekend.

This warmer weather though does come with the addition of plenty of moisture so the return of showers and storms are likely.
