The temperature hasn’t been below 70 degrees since May 23rd, it’s not just been a long summer, it’s been a record long summer.

If you’ve been one of the many asking what happened to fall then this is the forecast for you because we can finally say we have one more day of summer.

A front is moving through the area early Wednesday morning which has sparked a few spotty showers across the region.

These showers and clouds will stick around for the first half of the day before the sun eventually begins to take over as the front pushes through Acadiana.

Once the sun sets on Wednesday we’ll finally see the temperatures dropping and the lows will get down into the upper 50s and low 60s across south Louisiana.

This will be a refreshing change of pace from the last several months, so get those gumbo pots ready because it’s finally gumbo season.
