The first official week of fall here in the deep south, but instead of cool and crisp weather we will continue to move through a muggy, messy atmosphere.
Showers go an early start to the week moving through Acadiana Monday morning ushering in a fairly wet work week.
This round of rainfall has been a combination of a moisture rich atmosphere and a front this is currently stalling and fizzling.
Unfortunately the humidity is too entrenched to allow any kind of cool weather to get into Acadiana so a slog is what it will be the rest of this week.
While rain chances will be elevated through the entire week it doesn’t look like flooding will be a major issue, although a few spots may see some minor pooling.
There won’t be a whole lot of sunshine this week so temperatures will stay mostly in the 80s, and this pattern doesn’t look like it will break anytime soon.
