September can be deceptively hot, its spot on the calendar gives the impression that temperatures should be cooler than they ever actually reach.
Wednesday will be no exception with a return of mid 90 temperatures and the heat index sitting in the triple digits through the rest of the afternoon.
As we always say it’s not the heat but the humidity, and the humidity will be out in full force once again which opens the door for a few showers and storms.
A hefty downpour or two will be likely Wednesday although shower activity will remain isolated and relatively short lived.
There’s not much change for Thursday but it does look like maybe late next week we may finally get a small taste of fall.
