Settling into an unsettled pattern

The showers arrived early and in earnest on Tuesday with a wide scattering of rainfall across Acadiana through the afternoon.

A saturated atmosphere helped contribute to the range and intensity of the showers, and that moisture in the atmosphere isn’t going anywhere any time soon.

In fact the weather we experienced on Tuesday will be the forecast for the foreseeable future with basically everyday this week hovering in the 50-60% range for showers.

Activity will typically start in the late morning/early afternoon so as you take your lunch break keep an eye on the radar.

Frequent lightning and heavy downpours will be the predominant issues you’ll face with any of the activity, and no severe weather or flooding is expected.

In fact if you do encounter some wet weather you can usually hide out for an hour or so before it clears up and you can be on your way.

Temperatures will be a little more reasonable with upper 80s and low 90s as a result of the clouds, but the atmosphere will be extra sticky this week.

Not much change in your daily variety all the way through into the weekend, and we may even see it continue into next week.
