Storms Around Midday, Sunshine The Rest of the Week

We'll finally start to see some changes today as a cold front works into the area this afternoon. Some storms have produced gusty winds and a few Severe T-Storm Warnings have been issued. The front will continue to push southeast through the day. Chances for rain will start building over Acadiana for the rest of the afternoon. Temperatures will reach the mid 80s by lunch, then fall into the 70s by this evening.

Skies will clear into the evening hours. Overnight temperatures are expected to drop into the upper 50s and lower 60s. Sunny skies are expected for Tuesday with highs in the lo w 70s. Breezy conditions are also expected Tuesday afternoon.

More sunshine is expected for the remainder of the week and the upcoming weekend. Highs will be in the upper 70s Wednesday, near 80 on Thursday. Lows will drop into the low to mid 50s. Another shot of cool air will reach us by the weekend keeping the weather pleasant!
