Mostly cloudy skies across Acadiana on Thursday as a weak front sags south across the area, capable of squeezing out a couple showers from an atmosphere that has plenty of moisture available.

The rain chances for Wednesday will sit in the 30% range so nothing blanketing but you'll certainly want to be ready to come across one of those afternoon pop up showers.

Showers on Wednesday will move from north to south through the late morning and early afternoon, and areas that see showers early may end up being a little bit cooler through the day.

Temperatures for the most part are going to sit in the mid 80s in the afternoon with the heat index running a little bit warmer then the raw temperature due to our humidity.

Clouds will build up through the evening again leaving Thursday morning mostly cloudy, although we should progressively see more sunshine as we go through the day Thursday.

This will be the last of the quiet weather with a more active pattern taking hold into the weekend with on again/off again showers continuing through the weekend and into next week.
