In advance of a strong line of storms marching towards Acadiana, the Storm Prediction Center has issued a tornado watch for the northern portion of the area until 7 p.m. tonight.
This watch includes the parishes of Allen, Beauregard, Evangeline, Rapides, St. Landry and Vernon.
