Few strong storms possible for Acadiana this afternoon/early evening

A few strong thunderstorms capable of producing wind gusts to 40 mph and small hail will be possible for portions of Acadiana through early Monday evening.

Storms in northwestern portions of Acadiana at 2:00 pm were sliding east-southeastward near 30 mph.

Predictive Radar (the HRRR model) brings the threat of storms to the I-10 corridor between 4-6 pm.

The Storm Prediction Center has Acadiana hatched in for a “marginal” risk of a few isolated severe storms into this evening.

 

The storms are along and ahead of a cool front that will bring sunny skies and refreshing spring temperatures for the mid-week period.
