We’ve made it to the start of another week and after some muggy, warm weather to start conditions will steadily improve through the week.

Dense fog will be impacting your Monday morning commute and the fog looks like it’ll linger all the way to close to lunch time.

Even when it clears the clouds will stick around and the moisture will certainly be hanging about as winds are breezy and from the south.

Mostly cloudy skies are going to be the dominant feature on Monday and with all the moisture in place one or two showers may be possible through the afternoon.

The main weather event this weekend arrives Monday night into Tuesday morning with a round of showers and thunderstorms swinging through with a front.

There’s not expected to be any severe weather but a rumble or two of thunder can’t be ruled out entirely especially in south Acadiana.

Once the showers push through temperatures will drop and the skies should start to clear by Tuesday afternoon setting the stage for a very pretty work week.
