Thus, the weather should cause no problems on the roads today if you are traveling to visit family for Thanksgiving.

Clouds will be increasing this evening which will help prevent temperatures from cooling too fast which is great news for those running in the Gleaux Run or going to Downtown Alive as temperatures will be in the low to mid 50s.

Later tonight into the overnight hours there is a slight chance for a few isolated showers along the coast but they should end by daybreak Thanksgiving morning.

Thanksgiving looks to be a nice fall day as well with lots of sunshine and highs in the lower 60s.

However, this front will be coming from the west so temperatures will actually warm instead of falling behind the front for the weekend.

Thus, Saturday highs return back to normal for this time of year in the lower 70s with a mix of sun and clouds.

Sunday a stronger cold front will dive down into Acadiana producing a few scattered showers but more importantly this front will bring cooler and breezy conditions.

Highs for the first half of next week will only top out in the mid to upper 50s with overnight lows dropping into the mid to upper 30s.
