Tornado watch remains in effect for parts of Acadiana

Update at 3:30 a.m. – Tornado watches for parts of Acadiana have been dropped.  A tornado watch remains in effect for St. Martin,  Iberia, and St. Mary parishes through 7 a.m.

Update at 11:10 pm – In addition to a Tornado Watch for most of Acadiana through 4:00 am, a Tornado Watch has been extended into St Martin, Iberia, St Mary Parishes and the rest of Eastern Louisiana through 7:00 am.

 

 

A Tornado Watch is in effect for most of Acadiana through 4am.

The risk of severe storms containing damaging winds, isolated tornadoes, intense downpours of several inches and frequent cloud to ground lightning will be possible deeper into the overnight hours.
