Monday evening a cold front will swing through Acadiana bringing with it hit or miss showers/storms and cooler temperatures.

Depending on how far the front is able to push through the region tonight, as it is expected to stall just to our east, lows Tuesday morning could range from the mid 50s near Alexandria to the lower 70s down by Morgan City.

Along the interstate lows Tuesday morning will be in the low to mid 60s but with a northerly breeze it will feel cooler, so you will want the jacket.

Here is a look at the latest projected hour by hour temperatures for Acadiana.

Tuesday afternoon is going to be one of those tricky fall days that all depends on how far the front is able to push to the East and out into the Gulf to determine how much cool air is able to work into the Acadiana but either way expect temperatures 10-20° cooler than Monday.

Highs Tuesday could hold in the 60s with low clouds locked in placed along with light on and off showers and a steady northerly breeze at 10-15 mph.

However, if we are able to dodge the rain and you live down closer to the coast temperature could get into the mid 70s to possibly neither 80 while areas to the north in Rapides and Vernon Parishes you might not get out of the 50s.

The gloomy weather will continue on Wednesday with more clouds, a stray sprinkle and a breezy northerly winds holding temperatures on the cooler side with highs only topping out in the upper 60s and lower 70s.

Thursday we might finally see a few peeks of sunshine again but temperatures stay below average with highs in the mid 70s.

Thus, you are going to several chances to enjoy a nice warm gumbo the next few days.

By Friday temperatures could get back into the 80s out ahead of our next cool front which will swing through the region late Friday night into Saturday.

This front will bring another round of dreary weather with scattered light rains, lots of clouds and cooler temperatures in the low to mid 70s Saturday afternoon.

Sunday we will start to clear out behind the front but stay on the cool side with highs in the low to mid 70s.
