There’s some more showers on the way for the weekend, nothing that will constitute a washout by any means, but the daily round of showers may be a little more widespread the next several days.

A quick spike in moisture in the atmosphere will lead to some enhanced summer showers with a handful of thunderstorms embedded in them which may provide quite the light show.

None of the storms are expected to be particularly organized and while they may come along with some gusty winds the biggest thing you’ll want to be aware of is frequent lightning.

Despite being a little more widespread the wet weather isn’t likely to be continuous through out the entire day but you may end up with a few different showers during the day (they’ll still be fairly chaotic and hard to pinpoint).

It doesn’t look to get any better over the weekend either with Saturday and Sunday both shaping up to basically be the same type of weather we’ll get on Friday.

The extended cloud cover will help out with the temperatures with highs Friday and Saturday both likely staying in the upper 80s, although it’ll still feel a little warmer.

Some drier air will worm its way into Acadiana to start the week which will shut down many of the showers, pop ups will still be possible, but with it will be another increase in temperature.
