Frustrating day for forecasters and those hoping to get a good soaking as showers built to our north and west, collapsed, and then reformed to our south and east.

The front that has sparked the showers will continue to march through the area Tuesday night before it eventually stalls to our east, this will bring dry air into the western half of the Acadiana but the further east you are the more humid it will get.

Still just enough dry air will make its way into the area to help bring the lows down into lower 70s, a welcomed treat this time of year, and will also limit the chance for rain.

A few pop up showers will be possible both Wednesday and Thursday but they’ll be few and far between and likely won’t last all that long if they do start to pop up.

The moisture which will be confined to the east for the next few days won’t remain there for long and will back up into Acadiana bringing back the daily downpours through the weekend.
