Humidity increasing for the weekend

If you haven’t been outside lately (and I wouldn’t blame you if haven’t) it’s very hot outside which should come as a surprise to absolutely no one as we are still in the middle of summer.

Humidity has been increasing to go along with these temperatures and it was only a matter of time before daily showers would reemerge and pop up across Acadiana.

This weekend is the reemergence of those showers with scattered afternoon storms possible both Saturday and Sunday, though nothing widespread or prolonged enough to keep temperatures from hitting the mid 90s.

As moisture piles up a boundary will drop in from the north on Monday and Tuesday sparking two of the wetter days we’ve had since that wet stretch of weather earlier this month.

Rain totals aren’t anything impressive with maybe a few inches between Friday and Wednesday of next week, nothing that will cause flooding put good help our ever browning plants.
