The forecast the next several days can be summed up in one word: HOT!

Another heat advisory is up for the entire region as we will be heating up to 96-97° this afternoon with heat indices getting as high as 108-113°.

With these dangerously hot and humid conditions it is a good idea to just stay inside and enjoy the A/C but if you have to be out in the heat make sure you are taking it easy and drinking plenty of water.

And this weekend is going to be even hotter as the scorching heat to our west slides our way pushing highs up to 98-99° Saturday and Sunday with feel like temperatures topping out near 110-115°.

So, if you plan on being outside this weekend make sure you are being safe and try to get outdoor activities done early in the morning or late at night when it is not nearly as hot and humid.

The extreme heat and humidity will linger into the first half of next week before temperatures drop back down to seasonal levels in the lower 90s by the middle and end of next week as more clouds and slight rain chances return to the forecast.
