We’ve made it through another week here in Acadiana with very few weather events other than the heat starting to get cranked up and ready for the summer season.

Friday looks quiet as well with patchy sunshine and thickening cloud cover through the rest of the night as a cold front approaches the region coming in from the west.

A few scattered showers will be likely for the first half of the day on Saturday, but far from a washout as the front will actually start to thin and break apart as it moves through Acadiana.

This means it should clear quickly with some slightly cooler air in place but a quick warm up by Sunday afternoon, although humidity shouldn’t be nearly as high as it was this week.

After that get ready for a hot and dry stretch across Acadiana.
