ST. MARTINVILLE — UPDATE: All schools in St. Martin Parish are open tomorrow, according to the St. Martin Parish School Board superintendent Allen Blanchard.

ORIGINAL STORY: The City of St. Martinville Water System is under a boil advisory until further notice after a malfunction at the water plant.

Alexis Premeaux of Cenla Environmental Science tells KATC that malfunction caused water pressure to drop and parts of the city was without water. Premeaux adds the problem is directly related to running the well.

Schools within the city limits were canceled.

Residents should boil any water they plan to consume for one minute before consumption.
