The burn ban in Vermilion Parish has been cancelled.
Here's what the proclamation from the police jury states:
"The burn ban issued for Vermilion Parish on February 23, 2026, has been lifted effective immediately. All residents may resume outdoor burning in accordance with local and state fire safety guidelines."
