The finale for the premiere season of American Idol on ABC airs tonight at 8:00 pm. After ten weeks of auditions and live competition, series judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and America’s votes have selected the final three contestants.
Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Gabby Barrett, and Maddie Poppe will compete tonight in the second-half of the 2-night season finale event which began on Sunday evening. One of the three contestants will be proclaimed the winner of American Idol.
On night one, the three contestants performed three songs LIVE in the hopes of gaining votes and earning the American Idol crown. Performances included songs dedicated to each contestant’s hometown and an original song. Idol viewers were able to take a look at each contestant’s hometown. Voting is now closed!
