Acadiana’s weather pattern will remain pleasant through the midweek period, highlighted by warmer afternoon temperatures under fair to partly cloudy skies.

After a seasonably cool morning start in the mid-50s Tuesday, look for mostly sunny skies, punctuated by scattered afternoon clouds, and temperatures approaching the 80 degree mark for an afternoon high.

More of the same is anticipated into Wednesday with a few more high clouds late in the day, ahead of a frontal boundary that will approach the area by Thursday morning.

That front may produce scattered showers, but current timing appears that any rain chances (30%) Thursday will be limited to the early morning hours.

The weather for Festival International Wednesday and Thursday evenings should be fine, with temperatures in the mid-upper 60s for the venues…so a light jacket or sweater would be the recommended accessory.

And the weather looks great as we finish the week and head into the big festival weekend as well!

Friday should be a mostly sunny and pleasant day with highs in the mid-upper 70s, followed by fair and seasonably cool temperatures in the mid-upper 60s, for the evening performances.

This weekend’s weather will be outstanding for the rest of Festival…but do not forget hats and sun-block!

Expect fair to partly cloudy skies for both Saturday and Sunday with highs in the mid-upper 70s Saturday and reaching 80 Sunday.

Moving into next week, warmer more humid conditions are anticipated, along with a good chance of showers and storms starting Tuesday, and perhaps, continuing for several days.
